Waxworks (Review)

Jack the Ripper, Harun al-Rashid, and Ivan the Terrible what do they have in common. They all star in the 1924 classic silent film Waxworks. The film takes place at a wax museum where the owner (John Gottowt) needs someone to write a story about of his wax figures Jack the Ripper (Werner Krauss), Harun al-Rashid (Emil Jannings) and Ivan the Terrible (Conrad Veidt). The owner needs these stories to help bring in business. In comes a young nameless poet (William Dieterle) who agrees to write for the owner and his beautiful daughter (Olga Belajeff). This begins a journey through fantasy and horror. Check out Waxworks and you will be glad you did. Stay nerdy people.
